The WACO Warriors had their girls’ basketball season ended by a 66-42 loss to Montezuma last night in the Class 1A Region 8 quarterfinals. After falling behind 18-7 in the first quarter, WACO’s deficit grew to 22 points by halftime, and the Warriors would not be able to recover in the second half.

WACO ends the season with a record of 13-10. The Warriors will be losing four seniors off this season’s roster, including Naomi Egli, Halle Sherman, Emma Wagler and Marie Farmer.
