The Washington Demons suffered a 64-38 loss to Mount Vernon in boys’ basketball Tuesday night. Washington hung tough at home in the first half, keeping the game tied at 12 after one quarter and only trailing 30-26 at halftime. But it was a 27-7 run by Mount Vernon to start the second half that did the Demons in.

Washington falls for a seventh straight game and drops to 6-13. The Demons will return to the court later tonight for their regular-season finale against fourth-ranked Solon.
