For the next month, Henry County Public Health is collecting personal hygiene products to help families in need.
While the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program and Women, Infants, and Children Program help to provide food for local communities, these benefits do not cover non-food items and toiletries. Until March 20, Henry County Public Health will be collecting items such as travel size shampoo and soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, feminine products, dish soap, and laundry detergent. Donations will then be delivered to Henry County food pantries.
Any donations may be dropped off at Henry County Public Health at 106 North Jackson Street in Mount Pleasant. Their hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
