The Highland Huskies had their best girls’ basketball season in five years, and five players who helped them reach their most wins in a season since 2019 have earned all-conference honors in the Southeast Iowa Super Conference North.
Among them is Sarah Burton, who was voted by coaches as the 2024 Super Conference North Player of the Year. The senior averaged nearly 16 points, 14 rebounds, three assists, four steals and two-and-a-half blocked shots per game in her final season at Highland.
Fellow senior Stella Slaymaker also makes the all-conference first team for the Huskies after putting up 5.5 points and six rebounds per contest. Junior Katie Herrig posted nearly six points, 4.5 boards, two assists and two steals a game on her way to the second team, while seniors Kerra Longbine and Kelsy Cerny earn honorable mentions for Highland after a 14-7 season.
