To kick off National FFA Week, members of the Keota Chapter were in Oskaloosa on Monday for sub-district contests. In a successful trip for the Eagles, all 10 members who attended the contests advanced to districts.
The team of Emily Conger, Brynn Conrad, Maya Dalton, Lexus Detweiler, Ayden Galindo, Brennan McGuire, and Jaylah Redlinger participated in Conduct of Meetings, where they placed third and received a gold rating. At the individual level, Jack Greiner placed third in Creed Speaking, also earning a gold rating. In Welding, the duo of Isaac Striegel and Jax Weber took second, plus a gold rating as well. Weber also earned first place as an individual welder.
The 10 Keota FFA Chapter members will compete at the FFA District Contests on Saturday, March 9 at Louisa-Muscatine High School.
