From now until March 15, the City of Fairfield is accepting bids for the demolition, disposal, and backfill of a structure at 504 South 6th Street.

The structure, which is a small residence, has been found to have no asbestos-containing material from testing by Hawkeye Environmental. The request for proposal and contract conditions may be obtained from the Planning and Zoning Office 118 South Main Street in Fairfield or at cityoffairfieldiowa.com. Each quoting contractor shall accompany a quote with a bid security that is 10% of the bid amount. The contractor to whom the contract is awarded is also required to provide insurance in the form and limits shown within the bid documents.
