The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk boys basketball team was recognized this week by the River Valley Conference for their play on the court this year with four selections to All-Conference teams.
A pair of Golden Hawks were chosen to the first team. Junior guard Brady Weber was a first team all-league selection. Weber led the way for the Hawks with 125 assists this season, the eighth highest total in Class 2A basketball. Weber also compiled a team best 108 rebounds and 48 steals. He averaged 11 points per game.
Sophomore Bryce Henry was also a first team All-RVC pick. He led the Hawks scoring 317 points on the year. Henry’s 87.5% at the free throw line was sixth best in 2A. His 21 of 24 rate at the line was third in 2A for those who attempted at least 20 shots. Henry also finished with 96 rebounds, 45 assists and 11 steals.
Junior Ace Peck was a second team All-RVC selection. Peck was the team leader with 74 made three point goals this season, fourth most in Class 2A. His 179 attempts were ninth most and his 41.3% mark from downtown was the third highest in Class 2A for those who attempted at least 150 from long range. He was part of a Golden Hawk team that knocked down 211 threes, second most in the state, 10 per game, also the second highest total, at a 35.5% rate, seventh highest in 2A. Peck posted 294 total points with 56 rebounds, 35 assists, 26 steals and a team best 45.9% overall field goal percentage.
Senior Dylan Henry was named honorable mention RVC. He scored 209 points with 105 rebounds, 32 assists and 23 steals.
Mid-Prairie ended their season with a 12-10 overall record.
