Beginning today, a short section of Iowa Avenue will be closed for construction, according to the Henry County Engineer’s Office.

The closure, which is for bridge removal and box culvert replacement, includes a section of Iowa Avenue just east of Old Highway 218 near Salem. Weather permitting, the work is expected to be completed in three months. Only residents will be allowed on the road during the project.
