The WACO Warriors had another successful season of boys’ basketball this winter, and five players who led the charge have received all-conference selections by the coaches of the Southeast Iowa Super Conference North.
That group features Hunter Hughes, who has been selected as a first-team guard for a second straight season. The senior averaged nearly 15-and-a-half points, seven rebounds, four-and-a-half assists and three-and-a-half steals per game. Fellow senior Colton Leichty is also a first-team choice for WACO after posting almost 13.5 points, eight rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.5 steals per contest.
Chase Waterhouse makes the second team in his senior season after putting up 11 points and 6.5 boards a game. Honorable mentions go to senior Reece Oswald and junior Isaac Rich, who helped the Warriors go 14-2 in conference play and 18-6 overall.
