Keep Iowa Beautiful recently announced the winners of its 14th Annual Photography Contest. Receiving recognition for one of her photographs was Sharon Scarff of Wayland.

Scarff photo, titled “Bringing in the Harvest” placed second in the Iowans in Action category. Additional categories included Iowan Landscapes, Iowa Water, Iowa Cities, and Iowa Wildlife. First place in each category was awarded $100, second place earned $75, and $50 was given to third place. 

More than 600 photos were entered in the contest, which aims to raise awareness of Iowa’s natural and environmental beauty. To view all winning photos, click here.
