Any motorist who travels on Iowa 92 between Ainsworth and Columbus Junction should be aware of a construction project beginning next week. Starting at 7 a.m. on Monday, March 18, a section of Iowa 92 between U.S. 218 and Iowa 70 will be closed.

While the closure is in effect, crews will be grading the roadway in preparation for concrete pavement. This closure is expected to continue until late October. While construction is in progress, a detour route will be available using U.S. 218, County Road G36, and Louisa County Road X-17. Access to private properties within the work zone will be maintained during this project.
