Columbus was one of several area FFA chapters to compete at Louisa-Muscatine High School last Saturday. The Wildcats sent 10 students to the District event, saw seven gold ratings, and had one individual advance to State. 

Cade Storm competed in Creed Speaking and will represent the Columbus FFA Chapter at the State Convention next month. Additional gold ratings went to Emma Salazar and Gabe Totemeier for the Greenhand Quiz,, Connor Heck, Kalley Deese, and Chelsea Northum for the Discovery Quiz, and Ryan Coil for the Reporter’s Scrapbook. Eric Goselin, Hailey Wellington, and Mae Grimm earned silver ratings for their respective participation in the Greenhand Quiz, Chapter Quiz, and Discovery Quiz. 

The 96th State FFA Leadership Conference will be held from April 14-16 at Iowa State University in Ames.
