For the seventh year in a row, the Iowa Pork Producers Association is holding its Pulled Pork Madness event. This year’s bracket-style competition features Cynful Smokehouse and Creamery in Wapello. 

Pulled Pork Madness follows a similar structure to the basketball tournament, allowing the public to vote for Iowa’s best pulled pork sandwich. Sixteen qualifying restaurants have been paired up, and the establishment with the most votes advances to the next round until one winner is decided. In the first round, Cynful Smokehouse and Creamery in Wapello squares off with Skinny’s BBQ in Muscatine. 

The winner of Pulled Pork Madness will be awarded a $250 cash prize and a commemorative plaque. First round voting is open until Friday, March 15 at 10 a.m. To vote for Cynful Smokehouse and Creamery, visit the Iowa Pork Producers Association Facebook page, or click here.
