The Washington County Board of Supervisors discussed a resolution from the Washington County EMA for Washington County Riverboat Foundation grant funding at their most recent meeting. Washington County Chief Deputy Sheriff Shawn Ellingson gives more information on the request, “EMA was working with Webber with the Sheriff’s Office, and they’re hoping to get a grant to place stop the bleed kits in all the schools. In case of a bad situation, hopefully they all just expire. This is a resolution supporting that.” The Supervisors approved the resolution for the grant application. The Washington County Riverboat Foundation Spring Grant awards will be announced in May.
