Sunday, March 17 through Saturday, March 23 marks both National Ag Week and Iowa Ag Week.

To celebrate, KCII has partnered with more than 60 local businesses on messages highlighting the work of those in the ag industry. Additionally, a special edition Ag Magazine will feature extended interviews with professionals in the field each weekday at 1 and 6 p.m. Those programs will be archived and available for free on KCIIradio.com.

One such interview will include Iowa Pork Producers Association President Matt Gent. Gent tells KCII why he believes it is important to highlight those involved in agriculture this week. “Agriculture is a big part of what we do here in Washington County. It always has been and always will be, so it’s important to celebrate that.”

The one to count on for National Ag Week coverage is AM and FM KCII.
