Hillcrest Academy students are gearing up to perform their spring play, which puts a colorful twist on a literary classic.
Senior cast member, Naomi Danker, explains. “So this spring, we are doing A Seussified Pride and Prejudice and it’s pretty much just Pride and Prejudice but made more kid-friendly so it’s a little bit easier to understand and a little bit more goofy.” The production combines the whimsical language of Dr. Seuss with Jane Austin’s centuries-old love story.
There are three chances to see the Hillcrest Academy spring drama production. Performances will be held in Celebration Hall at the school on Friday, March 22 at 7 p.m., and Saturday, March 23 at both 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Tickets are five dollars and can be purchased at the door or by calling 319-656-2073.
