During the month of February, the Riverside Casino & Golf Resort raised $10,080 for Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Johnson County.
A portion of the funds came from the casino’s “Giving Back” initiative. During this campaign, each $20 donation made by a casino guest was matched by $20 in free slot play. The rest of the money was raised during “Bowl for Kids’ Sake,” Big Brothers and Big Sisters’ signature fundraiser. Each year, half a million people across the country collect funds for the organization and celebrate with local bowling parties.
Big Brothers and Big Sisters is the nation’s largest donor-and-volunteer-supported mentoring network. For more than 100 years, their mission has been to develop positive relationships that have a direct and lasting effect on the lives of young people.
