The Washington City Council heard a special presentation from PLANT (People Learning and Nurturing Together)  Washington at their Tuesday meeting. PLANT Washington Board member Cindy Chavez gave part of the presentation, “PLANT’s mission is to build community through food, conversation, and learning. So some of our top priorities include building and maintaining a community garden, allowing a space for people to grow nutritious foods, and as well as adding an orchard.” The Council asked that PLANT Washington Community Gardens and Orchard be put on the next agenda for approval.
