On Wednesday, the grant recipients were announced for the 2024 Paint Iowa Beautiful program. One such grant was awarded to the Lone Tree Community Foundation for several projects throughout the City.

The Paint Iowa Beautiful program is sponsored by paint manufacturer Diamond Vogel and charity organization Keep Iowa Beautiful. In its 21st year, the program provides free paint for public service projects through Iowa. Since the partnership began, Diamond Vogel has awarded nearly 13,000 gallons of paint for more than 1,400 Iowa projects.

Paint received by the Lone Tree Community Foundation will be used on ABC Park equipment, tables, new planks, the senior dining entrance, tables at North Park, the small pavilion at North Park, two pavilions at Dougherty Park, tables at Dougherty Park, swingsets at South Park, and designated trash bin areas.
