The WACO Warriors earned their first victory of the soccer season by defeating Burlington Notre Dame 2-0 last night. Sophomore Nick West scored the first two goals of his career to give WACO the winning margin before the match had even reached halftime.

Freshman Kale Zwer picked up an assist for the Warriors, and senior goalkeeper Colton Leichty stopped 12 shots to post a shutout. After losing their season opener against Fairfield, WACO will now have an opportunity to move to 2-1 to start 2024 when they next play Thursday at home against Hillcrest Academy.
