At their meeting on Tuesday, the Washington County Board of Supervisors heard from Washington County 911 Dispatch Supervisor Cara Sorrells in regards to the sale of the Sharon Telephone tower that Washington County uses for communications equipment at 3054 220th Street, North of Ainsworth. Sorrells gives more information, “I received a request for this estoppel certificate, it’s related to the Sharon Telephone Co site at 3054 220th st. We lease space for our emergency communications equipment there on that tower right now. They are selling the tower to Xcell Towers LLC, and basically, this is a change in the name for our lease agreement. I have checked with them, and the intent is to maintain our existing agreement as far as the terms and the renewal and the current amount that we rent from them for.” The Supervisors approved the certificate with Xcell Towers.
