The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk boys golf team scored their first win of the year Monday, downing Tipton in a River Valley Conference dual at Kalona. The Hawks got the win by a 166-182 count. Bryce Henry was meet medalist for Mid-Prairie with his score of 40. Golden Hawk Clayton Davidson was medalist runner-up, also with a card of 40. Other scores for the Hawks included Drew Schlabaugh 42, Ace Peck 44, Grayson Gingerich 45 and Denver Nelson 47. Top Tipton card was Gavin Roth with a 43. The Hawks are now 1-1 on the season and host their home 18-hole Golden Hawk Invitational Tuesday.
