Two local boys soccer teams take the pitch tonight in Sigourney when the Hillcrest Academy Ravens visit the Savages. Hillcrest is 2-0 on the season after wins over WACO 4-0 and Central Lee in overtime 2-1. Rowan Miller is the team leader with two goals, while Jesse Blossom, Micah Gerber, Seth Ours and Isaac Beachy have each scored once. Blossom and Gerber both have two assists and Mason Swarzendruber has one. In goal, Kyle Neuschwander and Andrew Kauffman each have a win and five saves with a 92% combined save percentage.

Sigourney is 1-1 this year, falling to Prairie City-Monroe in their opener 3-0, but rebounding to beat Wapello 3-2 Thursday behind a pair of Jackson Vittetoe goals and one from Chase Haifley. Other leaders this year for Sigourney include one assist each for Haifley, Gavin Khali and Reanah Utterback and 26 saves in goal for Wells Clark with a 90% save percentage. These two teams met last season with Sigourney scoring a 1-0 win on a Kale Clarahan goal and five save clean sheet from Brock Alderson.
