The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk girls golf team hits the road for a rare Wednesday event, an 18-hole Invitational at Stone Creek Golf Course in Williamsburg. The Hawks are 2-0 this year with River Valley Conference dual wins over Iowa City Regina and Tipton. Mid-Prairie has a team average of 199 per nine holes, led by Gabi Robertson with a 46 average. Madi Davidson is also under 50 with a 48 average. The Golden Hawks were last in Williamsburg for the 2023 regional finals where they set a school record with a team score of 367 on 18 holes, winning the championship and qualifying for the state meet.

The Golden Hawks will be joined in Williamsburg tonight by Anamosa, Benton, Calamus-Wheatland, Clear Creek Amana, Marion, Solon, Vinton-Shellsburg and the home Raiders. Action begins at 11a.m. and continues this afternoon and evening at Stone Creek Golf Course.
