The Sigourney Savages came away with a victory in a boys’ golf quadrangular Monday at Lagos Acres Golf Course in Keota. Sigourney’s team score of 168 strokes was enough to clip second-place HLV by five and the host Keota Eagles by nine.

Savages sophomore Solon Yates shot a one-over-par round of 37 to take meet medalist honors. Junior teammate Cain Weber was six over at 42 to finish third overall, while Sigourney sophomore Josh Wyatt was one stroke behind him to finish fourth. Freshman Ike Molyneux shot 46 for the Savages, while junior Issac Bruns finished with a 49 and senior Brock Alderson fired a 50.

Keota seniors Cole Kindred, Sawyer Stout and Tanner Waterhouse all finished tied for fourth with Wyatt by shooting 43. Freshman Brennan McGuire posted a 49 for the Eagles, with senior teammate Conner Strand one stroke behind him.
