The Highland Huskies captured the girls’ team championship at this year’s Notre Dame Golf Tournament at Flint Hills Golf Course in Burlington. Highland’s team score of 384 strokes was 40 less than second-place Lousia-Muscatine and nearly 50 better than third-place Fort Madison.

The Huskies were led by senior Kelsi Cerny and sophomore Adisyn Prottsman, who each shot 21-over-par rounds of 93 and finished tied for second overall on the individual leaderboard. Sophomore Emersyn Schultz also fired a 96 for Highland, while Winfield-Mount Union’s top score of 109 belonged to senior Lily Freeman.

The WMU boys finished fourth as a team in Burlington and were paced by Carter Loyd’s 15-over 87. Wolves freshman Cody Milks was only one stroke behind him, while sophomore Max Edwards shot 91 and freshman Justin Knipfer finished with 94. Sophomore Konner Kinneberg and junior Sinjin Brown added rounds of 98 and 99, respectively.
