The Washington Demons secured another Southeast Conference victory in boys’ golf yesterday at Mount Pleasant Golf & Country Club. Washington had a team score of 148 strokes, 36 better than second-place Mount Pleasant.

Senior Roman Roth was tied for individual meet medalist honors for the Demons, shooting an even-par round of 36. Sophomore Rajan Roth and senior Teague Mayer ended up in a tie for third place by finishing just one stroke behind him, while senior Luke Beenblossom and sophomore Carson Brown were tied for fifth after they each shot 38. Sophomore Drew Conrad fired a three-over 39 to earn seventh overall.

The Washington girls finished fifth at their conference meet yesterday at Elks Fairview Golf Course in Keokuk. Maci Williams had the top score for the Demons and was seventh overall by shooting 49. Fellow senior Natalie Prochaska finished with 57, while junior Lauren Hinrichsen posted a 59.

While the Washington girls are now off until their next conference meet Monday at Mount Pleasant, the Demon boys will take part in a tournament in Pella today and tomorrow.
