The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk girls golf team took on a tough field Wednesday at the Williamsburg Raider Invitational at Stone Creek Golf Course. The Hawks were fourth in the nine team field with a 370 18-hole score. The Raiders won their home tournament with a 348. Madi Davidson and Gabi Robertson finished with matching 90s in eighth and ninth place respectively to lead the Hawks. They spoke with KCII Sports after the meet about the tournament.

Davidson said, “I had some really good drives. It’s always nice when you have a good first drive, that’s the most nerve-racking shot of the day. I was really proud of our team.”

Robertson added, “On the par three, number five. I had two nice ons, which was hard because the pin-placement wasn’t the best today. Everyone on the team seemed to shoot really well.”

Other Mid-Prairie scores included Addison English 92, Olivia Swartzentruber 98, Elliot Debler 103, and Madison Witthoft with a 114. The Hawks will be back in action Tuesday in a makeup match with West Branch in Kalona.
