The City of Fairfield began its hydrant flushing yesterday, an endeavor that will continue for approximately 1 month.

While hydrants are flushed, residences in the area may experience lower water pressure and/or water discoloration. Discolored water could stain clothes for anyone doing laundry while the flushing is underway.

Residents are reminded that hydrants must be flushed to ensure there are no issues with their functionality, as well as to remove any deposits that may occur over time. With any questions, contact Fairfield City Hall at 641-472-6193.
