US Senator Chuck Grassley spoke with KCII News about holding his fifth annual Federal Judiciary Youth Summit. “It deals with a Federal Judge lecturing to and answering questions for High School students. So we had ten high schools come to Davenport Courthouse and listen to Judge Locher explain what District Judges do, and answer their questions. And the whole purpose of it is for people to have first hand knowledge of how the Federal Judiciary works, and this was an opportunity to educate people about it.” Juniors and seniors from southeast and eastern Iowa high schools attended the summit in the U.S. Courthouse in Davenport.
