Despite some adverse weather conditions, local track and field athletes still put up some strong performances Thursday at the Pankoke Relays at Winfield-Mount Union High School.
The Lone Tree girls had a solid overall night while finishing third as a team. Two Lions were winners, as sophomore Ava Christofferson was the champion in the 100-meter dash with a time of 13.57 seconds and junior Rylee Shield took the title in the 800 meters by crossing the finish line in two minutes 37 seconds.
