The Keokuk County Endowment Foundation held its Grant Awards Ceremony last week. Hosted at Tri-County Schools, the event saw 27 grants awarded, totaling more than $114,000.

Grant awards included $5,000 each to the City of Keota, Keota Athletic Boosters, Keota Eagle Advocates, City of Sigourney Parks and Rec Department, and City of Sigourney Fire Department.

The Keokuk County Community Foundation was formed in 2005 as an affiliate of the Community Foundation of Greater Des Moines. Their mission is to foster private giving, strengthen service providers, and improve the condition of the communities and other areas of interest within Keokuk County.
