The Hillcrest Academy Raven boys and girls golf teams host Winfield-Mt. Union Monday at the Kalona Golf Course in a pair of Southeast Iowa Superconference duals. The Raven boys are coming off of a 375 team score for 18 holes to finish seventh Saturday at the Grundy Center Invitational, where Liam Schrock and Rowan Miller had matching scores of 86 to lead the way. On the season, the Ravens have a 178 team average per nine holes with a 174 low and a 366 team average per 18 with a 357 low. Individually, Miller has a 36 average per nine holes and an 81 average per 18 as the team leader. Schrock is second for nine at 43, while Seth Ours is second for 18 at 90.

The Winfield-Mt. Union boys were last on the course last Wednesday when they won the 18-hole Wapello Invitational with a team score of 348, led by Carter Loyd’s medalist runner-up day of 83. On the year, the Wolves have a 354 team average per 18 with a 348 low and a 179 team average per 18 with a 176 low. Individually, Loyd leads with a 43 average per nine and 85 per 18 with Cody Milks second at 44 and 89 respectively. These two teams met at the Wapello Invite last week where the Wolves were team champs with a 348 and the Ravens were second at 357. Their last dual meeting was a year ago when Hillcrest got by WMU 164-173

The Hillcrest Academy girls last played Friday in a dual against Highland where they shot 303 as a team on nine holes at Blue Top Ridge at the Riverside Casino and Golf Resort, led by Claire Withrow’s 67. For the year, the Ravens have a 376 nine hole team average with a 295 low score. Individually, they are led by Izzy Frederickson’s 84 average on nine. The Winfield-Mt. Union girls played last week at the Wapello Invite where they finished fourth with an 18-hole team score of 515, led by Lily Freeman’s 105. This year, the Lady Wolves have a 258 nine hole team average with a 250 low and a 503 team 18-hole average with a 491 low. Freeman’s 56 average per nine is best on the team, Kaelyn Townsley also breaks 60 with a 59 average. These teams haven’t met in a dual format since 2019, where the Wolves scored the win. Action starts tonight at 4p.m. and continues into the evening at the Kalona Golf Course.
