Earlier this month, Iowa Workforce Development announced the recipients of its Registered Apprenticeship (RA) grants. One such award went to Sinclair Tractor in Sigourney in the amount of $11,088.06.
This annual funding is provided by the Iowa Apprenticeship Act to support training or ongoing costs with any active, apprenticeship program in the state. Programs must be registered and provide a minimum of 100 in-person contact hours to qualify for funding. Funds received are based on the number of registered apprentices participating. In 2024, Sinclair Tractor has 20 apprentices.
They join the 66 other programs to receive funding under the Iowa Apprenticeship Act, which this year supported more than 5,300 apprentices with a total of $2.94 million. For more information about apprenticeship programs in Iowa, click here.
