Join the Washington County Mental Health Coalition at the Washington Public Library on May 1st at 11:30 am for Suicide Prevention training. QPR Gatekeeper Training is the most widely used global suicide prevention training and equips you with proven tools and strategies to work through difficult conversations around the topic of suicide. You are invited to this 90-minute class that delivers quality education that empowers you to make a positive difference in the life of someone you know. Anyone can be a gatekeeper who is in a position to recognize a crisis and the warning signs that someone may be contemplating suicide. Goals of the training will be to Recognize warning signs of suicide, Use Question, Persuade, Refer Model to help prevent suicide, and learn referral and support resources.
