Deputy Jacob Ford with the Louisa County Sheriff’s Office graduated from the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy last week.

Ford, a Morning Sun native and Winfield-Mt. Union graduate was a part of Class 313. The group underwent a 16-week certification that included in-class content, scenario-based training, and incident simulations such as domestic abuse situations or field sobriety tests. Class 313 was recognized at a ceremony in West Des Moines on Friday, April 19.

Ford is beginning his field training this week. His previous roles with the Louisa County Sheriff’s Office included Jailer and Reserve Deputy.
