The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk and Winfield-Mt. Union boys golf teams traveled to West Liberty Tuesday for the 18-hole Comet Invitational. The Golden Hawks had the top area team finish, placing third in the field of 10 with their score of 344. West Branch won the meet with a 332. Drew Schlabaugh led Mid-Prairie with his sizzling 78, which included a one-under 35 on the front, to finish third overall. Other Golden Hawk cards included Clayton Davidson and Grayson Gingerich with 88s, Bryce Henry at 90, 92 for Ace Peck and 104 for Denver Nelson.

Winfield-Mt. Union was sixth in the team race with their overall score of 367. WMU was led by Konner Kinneberg at 89, with 45 on the front and 44 on the back, to finish 19th overall. Other scores for the Wolves included Carter Loyd 90, Grant Anderson 93, Justin Knipfer 95, Max Edwards 97 and Cody Milks 104.
