The Washington County Board of Supervisors met Tuesday, on the agenda was the adoption of the fiscal year 2025 budget. Information Technology Director Cyndie Sinn gives more information on the budget and changes, “I included a comparison summary like I always do. The top section on the one hundred percent assessed valuations you can see both rural and urban went up quite a bit. This is what taxpayers had received their assessment last April, and it kind of stirred things up with the significant increase in valuations. As we told people then, that is not the amount that they would be paying taxes on. The current, the rollback figures factor for fiscal year 25, the taxpayer will be paying a lower amount of one hundred percent than they did the previous year.” The total rural valuation for Fiscal Year 2025 in Washington County is just over $919-milion and the urban valuation is just over $600 million.
