The potential for severe weather exists for the KCII listening area beginning Friday  and continuing through the weekend.

According to the latest outlook from the National Weather Service, there is a slight risk, or level 2 out of 5, for severe storms Friday.. For southeast Iowa, including the KCII listening area, the primary threats with these potential storms are large hail and damaging winds. Similar conditions are possible Saturday  and could influence the severe weather risk on Sunday.

Should a severe thunderstorm or tornado warning affect Washington County, the KCII Severe Weather Action Team will be live on the air, detailing the events and providing relevant updates. The one to count on for severe weather coverage is AM and FM KCII.
