The WACO Warriors and Lone Tree Lions came up short in Southeast Iowa Super Conference golf duals Tuesday. The WACO boys lost to Holy Trinity Catholic at Sheaffer Memorial Golf Park in Fort Madison, as their team score of 224 strokes was 20 more than the Crusaders.
Senior John McLaughlin shot a 17-over-par 53 to lead the Warriors, while senior Noah Fried fired a 55 and junior Malachi Rinner posted a 56. The WACO girls finished with a team score of 283, just under 50 less than Holy Trinity, and were led by sophomore Morgan Meyer’s 62. The Lone Tree boys came up just short against Louisa-Muscatine, as their team total of 240 was three strokes behind the Falcons.
