In a preview of next week’s River Valley Conference Championship meet, the Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk girls golf team showed why they are one of the league favorites to repeat Thursday at Durant. The Golden Hawks beat the eight team field at Wahkonsa to win the Wildcat Invitational. The Hawks shot 384 as a team, beating second place Tipton by three. Mid-Prairie put all four of their scoring golfers in the top 10, led Madi Davidson fourth overall with a 90, including a 40 on the back nine. Other scores included Morgyn Bender fifth with a 97, Addison English seventh at 98, Elliot Debler eighth at 99, Gabi Robertson at 106 and Olivia Swartzentruber at 108. The Hawks are back on the course Monday when they travel to West Liberty.
