The Washington County Board of Health met on Thursday. On the agenda was a discussion about the Public Health Administrator position. Interviews were held with three candidates on Saturday, April 20th. Board Chair Andrea Leyden, explains further, “So my recommendation, I would like to see reference checks on all three. Like I said, I think that they all were checking the box for different reasons, and I always think it’s important to get reference checks. I’m not hearing that there is a consistent person that everyone is feeling really good with, so I think that the fair thing to do would be to get reference checks on all three.” The board decided to get references for all three candidates to make a better decision.
