Two KCII area boys soccer teams square off Monday night in a Southeast Iowa Superconference contest in Kalona when the Hillcrest Academy Ravens entertain the Highland Huskies. The Ravens are 7-1 overall, 5-0 in the league, after suffering their first defeat of the season Saturday, a 3-1 loss at Washington, where Seth Ours had the lone goal on a Mason Bender assist and Kyle Neuschwander had nine saves in goal. On the year, the Ravens have outscored their opponents 33-5 in total with 166 shots, 95 on goal, 32 corners, 27 assists and 43 saves with a 90% save percentage. Individually, Micah Gerber has a team best nine goals, with Rowan Miller right behind him at eight. Ours has eight assists for the team lead, Gerber and Lincoln Miller each have four, in goal, Neuschwander has 30 saves and an 88% save percentage.

Highland is 4-5 overall this year, 2-3 in the Superconference. Their four wins are the most in a season for the program since 2015. They were shut out by Burlington Notre Dame Thursday 3-0. On the year, the Huskies have scored and given up exactly 26 goals. Individually, Jared Diaz leads with 10 goals, Logan McFarland has nine. Angel Avendano and Jaydee Macareno each have three assists. In goal, Ayden Havel has 75 saves with a 77% save percentage. Hillcrest has won eight of the last nine in the series, six straight, including a 3-0 win last season where Phoenix Anderson had a goal, Micah Gerber and Mason Helmuth each had an assist and Kyle Neuschwander posted a clean sheet. Action starts tonight at 5p.m. in Kalona.
