The WACO Warriors knocked off the Highland Huskies 2-0 in boys’ soccer Saturday. Sophomore Tristan Luitjens scored for WACO and assisted a goal by junior teammate Keiran Luitjens as the Warriors doubled their halftime lead and snapped a three-game losing streak.

WACO improves to 4-4 in the Southeast Iowa Super Conference and 5-6 overall, while Highland drops to 5-8 overall and 2-6 in conference play. Both teams will now gear up to play tomorrow in this year’s Super Confetence Tournament, with the Huskies facing Hillcrest Academy in the quarterfinals and the Warriors battling Burlington Notre Dame.
