The next chapter of the Washington and Mid-Prairie rivalry will be written tonight on the pitch in Wellman when the Demon girls visit the Hawks for a non-conference match. Washington enters the night with a 4-8 record overall after a 4-0 loss yesterday to Fort Madison. On the season, the Demons have been outscored 20-18 in total with 214 shots, 124 on goal, 39 corner kicks, six assists and 43 saves with a 73% team save percentage. Individual leaders include Giselle Marcelino with six goals, one assist each for Marcelino, Angeline Anderson, Audrey Anderson, Maya Bruty, Jocelyn Carter and Allie Wulf and 43 saves with a 74% save percentage for Aleigha Medley.

Mid-Prairie is 7-5 on the year after a tough 2-1 loss in PKs to Williamsburg Monday in Wellman. On the year, the Hawks have been outscored 26-24 in total with 157 shots, 87 on goal, 40 corners, seven assists and 149 saves with an 86% team save percentage. Individually, Elise Gingerich leads with a dozen goals, she and Zoey Curtiss each have two assists and in goal, Niva Helmuth has 103 saves with an 84% save percentage. It’s also Senior Night for the Golden Hawks who will honor Ella Titus, Evangeline Marner, Emily Curtiss and Ava Pence with a ceremony.

Mid-Prairie has won 11 of the 14 all-time meetings between the two schools, but it was the Demons with a 2-0 victory a season ago. Action starts tonight at 4:30p.m. in Wellman.
