The Washington High School Brass Quintet earned the honor to play at the Iowa Bandmasters Convention in Des Moines on Friday, May 10. They were featured in a clinic with the internationally acclaimed Boston Brass. The quintet received the best in-center award in March at the IHSMA Solo and Small Ensemble festival. This distinction drew the invitation to the clinic. The quintet includes Claire Wubbena, Kate Flannery, Quintyn Garibay, Kael Malichky, and Teague Mayer.
