A flood watch is in effect for portions of Louisa and Muscatine counties from Wednesday morning to late Wednesday evening.
At 9 p.m. on Sunday, the Cedar River near Conesville was measured at 12.1 feet. At 13 feet, water begins to affect Edgewater Road and 245th Street near Conesville. Residents, and those with interests near the river should monitor rising water levels and be prepared for possible flood warnings. Anyone in the watch area should remain alert to possible flooding.
