The Class 1A boys soccer playoffs continue tonight with a rivalry matchup in Kalona as the third seed Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks travel to meet the second seed Hillcrest Academy Ravens. The Ravens come into the night with a 10-3 overall record, champions of the Southeast Iowa Superconference. They have been off since a May 10th loss to Burlington Notre Dame in penalty kicks in the semifinals of the conference tournament. On the year, the Ravens have outscored their opponents 48-15 in total with 250 shots, 145 on goal, 62 corner kicks, 36 assists with 69 saves and an 86% team save percentage. Individual leaders include Micah Gerber with 14 goals, Seth Ours with 11 assists and Kyle Neuschwander with 48 saves.

Mid-Prairie is 9-7 this year after a 3-0 first round district win over Sigourney-Keota Monday where Peyton Fox had a hat trick on assists from Joe Hall, Matthew Troyer and Jesse Stultz. Hall had a clean sheet with a save. On the season, the Hawks have outscored their opponents, 30-28 in total with 290 shots, 139 on goal, 62 corner kicks, 22 assists and 106 saves with an 80% save percentage. Individual leaders include Fox with seven goals, Tucker Miller with five assists and Hall with 88 saves and an 82% save percentage. These teams have met five times in the last 13 years with each winning twice and one tie. The Golden Hawks won the most recent matchup 1-0 in 2022. Action starts tonight at 7p.m. At Hillcrest Academy.
