The Lone Tree Lion baseball team fell last night to Burlington Notre Dame 15-5. Facing the number-one ranked team in the state in Class 1A, Lone Tree managed to tie the game at one in the top of the second inning, but three runs in the bottom half put Notre Dame back on top, and they would stay in front the rest of the night, using five runs in the sixth to end the game early.

Senior Ethan Bockelman came up with two hits, one run scored and one run batted in to lead the Lion lineup. Freshman Brock Nebergall scored twice, while senior Dominic Graap, junior Brody Magruder and sophomore Emmett Burke all had one hit each. The loss drops Lone Tree to 1-5. The Lions will look for a bounce-back when they return to the diamond Thursday against Louisa-Muscatine.
