The City of Winfield would like to remind residents of the Spring Clean Up Day this Friday, June 7.

Items should be put out by 7 a.m. Friday, and can include up to two furniture items per household. Each place of residence is also permitted one window and one door. Other acceptable items include regular household food waste, up to one carpet rolled and tied, up to five gallons of used oil, and dried latex paint. Appliances and miscellaneous scrap metal will be picked up by the City. Participants of the Clean Up Day are also reminded that TV’s and monitors require a $30 bulk sticker from City Hall.

Loose trash will not be taken, as it must all be bagged or boxed. Piles may not exceed eight feet in length, eight feet in width, and three feet in height. Items that will not be accepted include oil based paint, chemicals, concrete, bricks, ash, and construction or demolition materials.
